Half Full or Half Empty

Dear Parents,

It's a classic, are you a half full or half empty kind of person?  The half full folks are always sure things are going to be fine and willing to keep striving to find a way.  The half empty folks, research has shown, actually have a better handle on reality and can diagnose the problems more effectively.  Working together they tend to drive each other crazy, but we do need each other.

As we drive along in our work team or family (God seems to put opposites together in marriage), remember that other person (or people) may make me insane, but I need to work together with him (her) to work most effectively.

As we raise our children, we need to develop in them an appreciation for those with other gifts and talents.  Most of our children see two parents who are opposites, and when children see parents working well together and appreciating those differences, they grow up with that ability as well.

We need to teach our children how to use their God given ability and how to appreciate the abilities of others.  We must encourage them to work cooperatively with others recognizing that no one person has all the gifts.  Good leaders are people who know how to get all members of group to work effectively together.

Blessings on your parenting,

Tim Miesner
Principal

What our families Are Saying

"Faith, character and values are of utmost importance in our home. Epiphany Lutheran School has provided invaluable teachings for my children in this area. The teachers have always provided positive, open communication and dialog so you truly feel like you are working together in "raising" your children. We love the family environment, culture and camaraderie the students have with each other. It is truly a blessing to be a part of this school community." Great Schools reviewer

"Awesome school! My son is in 8th grade and I have seen him grow socially and his work ethic is 100% improved. This class sizes are small which means greater 1-1 attention. I wish I would have sent him earlier. I highly recommend Epiphany!" Great Schools reviewer
